Christmas Concert Details

When: December 20, 2017
Time: 6:30pm-7:30pm
Location: East Elementary Gym 

Dress Code: Sunday Best 

Please arrive at 6:00pm. You can check in the classroom and drop off coats. 
Before the concert begins you can take a look at the cakes "for sale" and buy raffle tickets. 

The concert starts at 6:30 and Kindergarten will sing first. There will be a short intermission after which you can stay watch the whole concert or leave if you need to. 

We look forward to seeing you there.

Fall Walk Field Trip

We will be going for a walk to Telford Lake as a class. 

The purpose of the walk is to practice road safety and talk about Fall colors. 

Permission forms have now been posted on Powerschool. Depending on the weather will be doing on one of the days in the week of September 25th and October 2nd. 

Show and Share Information

• Allow your child to choose 1 item to bring to school that is meaningful to them.
• Student who might forget to bring a toy can choose a favorite book, toy, art activity, or other item from your classroom to share so no one gets left out.

What are the benefits of Show-and-Tell?

• The children are given the opportunity to speak in front of others.
• Each child gets to be the center of attention.
• Children share things from home with their friends and the teacher.
• Children choose items that are meaningful to them to talk about.
• Children learn to respect each other’s turn to talk.
• Children practice the skill of listening to and answering simple questions.
• Children practice the skill of asking simple question.

September 27th Safety City Field Trip Information

Safety City field trip forms are now uploaded on powerschool. Please log into your account to fill out the permission form. 

If you have not set up your account and still need your child's ID number to log on to powerschool, please email me at lia.nikolaev@blackgold.ca 

Please note: The deadline for permission forms is Friday, September 22.

*Please be advised that every student must bring a helmet in order to participate in the program. Students need to bring a bag lunch. 

Parent Volunteers: 
We are also looking for 3 parent volunteers to join us on the field trip. If you are able to volunteer you can let me know at drop off, or email me. :)

Power-School Account

If you do not have a power-school account, please click the link below to set one up. All families need to have a power-school account. 

We will be using Power-school for on-line permission forms. Previously, students were required to bring back signed paper copies, this year, though, only digital copies will be accepted.

September 5th @ 6:30PM

 I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night for a short info presentation. You will receive a package to take home with information about the upcoming Kindergarten year.
